Notes for Christmas/Epiphany

2009 Epiphany  song order:  Basic concept worked: full set of risers, orch stays in place, choirs process up first Cherubs (Cole on processional) then Parish Youth, then Adults, then full company. Josh's solo was not on program. Make sure to choreograph movement for offertory and adults getting into place. Make sure the program includes the opening orch numbers. 

2009 Epiphany repertory: Be sure to include an adult solo Bring back birthday of a King Medley. Bring back "How Great our Joy" antiphonal choir bring back Shine Down,"Once in Royal David's City" We are the Reason

2009 Epiphany logistics - You must have had the orchestra BELOW on the floor because you couldn't see them on top of the sanctuary more importantly, they couldn't see you.  You need a full drum set for the rock number at end. It works best to have drummer down on floor west side. Get your book in order before you get to church for Epiphany, even if you do arrive an hour early. Can you come up with a guard to put on the brick where you move the piano around the corner? Choir: Don't use all four riser levels. USE FLOOR level for first row alto and soprano. Make sure the sound board is down on the floor with you so you can reach it, OR have Teryn there to run it and you can talk to him.

Notes for Easter Triduum

    For Palm Sunday morning go back to old psalm response. Stephanie did it.

    Half sheets a week ahead of time. Last year we were short. save 40 for choir. Yellow paper.

    Incense used - Very little Thurs, none on Fri,   

    Bring back "Jesus Lord to Me"  

    Thurs-  Be sure to practice Pange at least once. There were wrong notes. And wrong page numbers in program.

     Fri- Father did ALL the intercessions. Valerie wasn't used.

    Fri-  Bring back Via Dolorosa

    Fri - Add Closing prayer and "recessional in silence" to the program.

    Sat-  Count Me In needs a higher key. Leave the bass parts in.
